Tom's Plan:

Access Affordable Healthcare

Healthcare is too expensive and too hard to reach, especially in rural Alaska. No Alaskan should miss care because of where they live or how far they have to travel.

Expand affordable coverage

As Governor, I will:

  • Expand DenaliCare for working Alaskans

  • Help people caught between Medicaid and unaffordable private plans

  • Expand rural telehealth access

When people can access healthcare earlier and more consistently, families avoid bigger medical crises and the high emergency costs that get passed on to everyone else.

Lower drug costs and bring care closer

As Governor, I will:

  • Cut prescription drug costs

  • Bypass pharmacy benefit managers

  • Negotiate prices directly with manufacturers

  • Expand telehealth

  • Grow Alaska’s healthcare workforce

  • Strengthen loan repayment programs to keep providers in Alaska

Alaskans should not have to leave their communities or overpay for basic care. Lower drug costs, better rural access, and a stronger healthcare workforce can help make care more affordable and reliable statewide.
